this world is not meant for you
( When his systems first kick back online he's disoriented - he remembers… he doesn't remember anything, which triggers the first wave of fleeting panic. It's offset by the background recognition of the hum of the Lost Light around him: deep, low, and constant. Home, he's home.
That's a start, and he relaxes and onlines his optics because wherever he is isn't his quarters. The area is dark and calming, quiet beyond the background sound of his ship with subtle lighting that he can just hear Drift say is suppose to encourage the spirit to heal along with the body. Medbay.
Cool, that's cool. And when he slides off the berth he's found himself on it's to go look for and reclaim his quarters, at the very least. Not that Rodimus wants to think about taking orders from Megatron on his ship for his quest.
But every thought of yelling at Megatron vanishes the moment he trips over something - a coffin - and then catches a glimpse of what's inside. No. Absolutely not. He isn't-- he wouldn't-- he'd know if he was dead. It's hard to miss losing half your head and oh Primus he really doesn't want to be here right now.
Which means that he starts running towards the Medbay doors with every intention of finding Ratchet and asking for an explanation. Preferably an explanation that doesn't involve his corpse. What he doesn't expect is running straight into another mech. )
What---?

Then the embarrassment is right back. ]
It was. I was acting out of turn, I apologize. My feelings got the better of me.

( Yep, absolutely grinning at this point, the image of his own corpse fading in exchange for this. Whatever this was, besides comforting. He never realized that being held by Magnus would be so nice or else he would have refused to move anywhere unless Magnus carried him ages ago. )

[ And they can't stand in the doorway forever, so Magnus is going to carry Rodimus back to his medbay bed. Ratchet would have his helm if he took him anywhere else. Or at least that's what he tells himself.]
no subject
Woah, woah, wait. ( C'mon Magnus don't abandon him. ) I'm not staying here.
( And then onto the important matter at hand: )
Dunno, I kind of liked it.
no subject
[ It's ridiculous, come on. The disapproving frown softens slightly to a more tentative expression. ]
...If it would make you feel more at ease, I could perhaps do it again.
no subject
( That's a good change, Rodimus likes that change. Time to encourage it with a grin of his own. )
Yeah, I think you should.
no subject
I can't take you out of the medbay without consulting Ratchet first. He is the CMO.
no subject
Then comm Ratchet and tell him I want out. ( He wants to say Captain's orders but, well. That's a thing he isn't anymore. ) Or just stay here or something but don't you dare leave me alone with that thing.
no subject
I won't. I won't leave you.
[ He doesn't follow it up with a kiss, but he does finally make a decision and moves towards the door of the medbay. ]
I will inform Ratchet that your discomfort necessitated your removal from the medbay. [ That seems reasonable, right? ]
no subject
There you go. All nice and official.
( And an encouraging pat on his frame to help speed up the process along. )
no subject
I assure you that under any other circumstances, the situation would be entierly different and I will have to insist on a full medical examination later to ensure your health.

( If anyone asked if he was kicking his feet happily he'd deny it, but he is. As happily as one can be while being distracted from thinking about his own corpse. )
